We’re baaack!
After a week off for Monterey Car Week, we’re back on track for Exotics at Redmond Town Center on Saturday, August 23, from 9–11 in our regular lots. I have to say all that or we get swamped with messages about when we start or what day the event is. If you’re a participant, come early. If you’re a spectator, you can come early, get some pancakes, and still be at the event by 9. It’s going to be a beautiful Saturday, so come on out. We’re already in the countdown until our season ends and we hug each other goodbye.
We’re expecting a big turnout, which is usually the case on the Saturday after Monterey. People want to talk about what they did, what they saw, show off some photos, and maybe even show us the cars they just snagged at auction.
For those who get confused about our show, tickets go on sale this late in the season and are twice as free as they ever were. They are as free as naked guy on a public beach.
Some people don’t understand theme days. Theme days mean you can still bring any E@RTC-qualified car. It’s just as free as anything else. On theme days, we put those theme cars in the center of the mall and along a side street, and we charge you a whole lot of nothing for it. The regular lots are always the regular lots, even on theme days.
The next theme day, in addition to our regular Saturdays, is British Car Day on September 20. Between now and then, we’re still on in our regular lots—unless it rains, then it’s sort of like an invisible day, only squishy. As always, your satisfaction is guaranteed or we double no money back.
There are only about six Saturdays left before we call it for the season. That’s not a lot, so come on out and make a friend so you have someone to talk to this winter. You can talk about rain or that thing you had removed. Everyone likes to talk about that.
We’ll see you on Saturday!
