…t’s another invisible show this Saturday, August 16, from 9–11 where you will see nothing but confused people driving around wondering where everyone went. It will be just like another day in Fresno. This is the show you absolutely must call your friends and relatives and not show up to see anyone. We’re going to try and set a record for the least number of qualified cars to ever not show up at E@RTC. Whoever doesn’t show up first will receive nothing burgers for the rest of their life! We’re talking about some real serious bullshit here.
The reason we’re off is because of Car Week in Monterey, where everyone migrates instead for the week. It also gives our glorious Parking Thugs a planned Saturday off while it’s nice. It gives them a chance to do laundry. Maybe scrub off some skid marks. No, the other kind of skid marks.
As we keep saying, if you’ve never been to Monterey for Car Week, you should probably go. Chances are very good that you will run into someone you know, but hopefully not with your car. We will resume our regularly scheduled nonsense next week.
It’s astonishing how fast this season flew by. There are only about seven possible Saturdays left in the season, and one or two will be rained out, so you’d better get your butt down to see us, but not this Saturday. We will see you all next week when everyone returning from Monterey has cool stories to share about the cars they saw, the people they met, and the bad fart-producing burrito they ate somewhere in route that nearly killed a circling buzzard.
