Another Beautiful Saturday!

I looked at the weather and it’s going to be another super-nice day. We never know what’s going to show up and every week it’s something new and completely unexpected. Sort of like the crazy you met on Tinder. It’s hard to believe we’re already half way through our season. Even with our late start of the season, we still managed to pull off twelve Saturdays of fun so far. Some of you haven’t had twelve good Saturdays of marriage.

We have about twelve more Saturdays remaining, but with rain, that will work out to less than ten events, so come out while you can. This way you won’t be sitting on the sofa this winter regretting your past summer. Don’t deny yourself of that one morning when that cool something came out that you missed, only to then write us to ask when it will come out again. Sorry but you should know by now that those who are tardy don’t get fruit cup.

We’ve tried to estimate the number of exotic and rare cars in our community overall and it’s a massive number. It’s thousands. It’s why we’re only slightly impacted by other events on a Saturday and why we have so much to see. There are a lot of cars here and many have never been to E@RTC before so there is always something new. Like Tinder! (Except we cost nothing.) We get email and questions from newbies every day! We’re also seeing considerable growth with spectators who appreciate your cars. We get lots of notes thanking all of you for bringing them out. You may not think it’s a big deal, but it is to someone who’s never seen your cool car before.

Over the years, the event has become a lot more eclectic as some of the most unusual cars around come out to prove they exist. It’s rare that even me, after all these years has a Saturday where I don’t think something is particularly cool. How many of you have ever seen a Bugatti Type 57? Well, one was here this past Saturday! What an extraordinary car!

The 48 state speed record car was especially interesting this past Saturday. When you look at the complexity of the run, it’s not as easy as you’d think. It was an interesting story. With so much going wrong in the world today, it’s nice to have E@RTC on a Saturday morning for some fun and some laughs. Thanks to all of you who come out.

BTW, did you notice all the improvements to RTC? The mall is really looking nice! They are doing a fantastic job of making the center mall a lot more inviting. It just keeps getting better. Come check it out!

One of the things I love most about coming out is hearing your feedback and how we can best improve our event. Our goal is to always make it a little easier to arrive and get you settled in. I’m going to post this again because people have such a hard time with our entrance, but for those who are new, you go one block past RTC on Bear Creek, then turn in, and we’ll get you parked as fast as we can.
