“It’s a Beautiful Day…

…in the neighborhood, a beautiful day in the neighborhood…” and another exciting morning of Exotics at Redmond Town Center! It’s going to be a gorgeous day and a great turnout, which is usually the case after a rained-out Saturday the week before. Speaking of Mr. Rogers, what exotic would he drive? I’m thinking he would have driven a Shelby Cobra with a puppet head on the shifter and a bare foot gas pedal. Maybe some flames.

We had a great German Car Day once again. Everyone had a great time, as usual. When we have those theme days, it’s often the case where the other car nationalities bow that one out, and given it’s been two weeks because of weather, they will be out this time.

It also seems like people are finally checking the criteria page on our website before they contact us, which cuts down on our volunteer workload considerably, and we appreciate it. When people did have questions, they were good ones. It all went very smoothly, and we were able to get everyone’s questions answered before German Car Day. We love it when things go smoothly.

Our next theme day is July 19 for Italian Car Day. It’s one of our best theme days and heavily attended. We will likely be full that day.

Hopefully, your main squeeze gets their ankle monitor off by then, or at least before the wedding. That’s right, I forgot, we don’t allow Type Rs. Never mind.

It’s nice to see the Pacific Northwest embrace exotic and rare cars and so many events when there was just nothing out there before. We’re always thinking ahead about what the future will look like for the car world, while most of us start to look like dusty leather bags in shorts. The arguments still rage about the future of EVs, when we think they will co-exist for a long time. The subject is fight’n words for some. Not us. If it’s exotic and cool in our E@RTC way, it gets in.

Come on out on Saturday! You can make your famous ass-on-fire chutney on Sunday instead. Who really likes chutney anyway? You can fix the drippy sink on Sunday. No, “drippy sink” is not code for your spouse, so don’t get mad at me.
