It’s going to be a beautiful day!

Saturday, July 25th, we are on! 9AM to 11AM (Drivers gates open at 8AM)

Hey y’all, we are on for this Saturday!! We just found out the Thug Weather Center 1 team took off and left the interns in charge. They are insisting it will be 71° and partly cloudy, but they also wear jumpsuits and Velcro shoes, by choice...we don’t require it. Either way, that doesn’t sound so bad for us PNW dwellers. It was a bit toasty early part of the week, and while it isn’t Arizona hot, it is hot to us. Don’t get me wrong, certainly not complaining; never know when Mother Nature is listening. I assume she uses the same technology as Santa or Alexa, and y’all know we are always on her naughty list.

The best part about the weather being awesome in the PNW is what you get to see on the roads. It is amazing to live in an area where you can see Ferraris, Porsches, Astons, classics, or even Lambos commuting on a normal workday and cruising around on the weekends. . A big kudos to the collectors and enthusiasts who haven’t forgotten these are precision machines that need to be used. You are who make our show what it is and make my day when I am stressed out from a rough day, hating traffic, pondering what would happen if I attempted a pit maneuver on the 10 mph under the speed limit idiot in front of me. Catching the aroma of an air-cooled exhaust or the rattle of a downshift from a 500+ horsepower engine brings a little excitement to the commute. The promise of seeing something cool and someone out there just enjoying the road is a bit of Zen. So, thank you to all the people who drive those awesome rides and support our show. We are so lucky to live in a reality where these cars aren’t just garage art

Last Saturday was a scheduled day off so our friends and amazing hosts at Redmond Town Center could help y’all enjoy the World Cup. How incredible was the energy around the World Cup?? One of my favorite things was the reactions to driving in the US from our friends across the pond. It was interesting to see them get excited about cars we see as pedestrian, like an SUV or truck. I saw one video on the interwebs that showed a guy driving down the freeway in a Tahoe just giggling and bouncing around like he was on an amusement park ride. Reminds me of the first time I drove a RHD Min-Cooper, lol.

We have gotten some questions about German Day this year after we had to bump it due to rain. German Day will be on Saturday, Aug 8th, and we will also be hosting Paccar on that day in the horseshoe. We will have Center Court and 164th lined with German beauties and the horseshoe will host those big American Beasts. The schedule for us gets a bit tight this time of year with Monterey Aug 7th-17th; so we decided to do a double feature. This one will be pretty awesome! Save the date for Saturday, Aug 8th.

This weekend the show will be in our regular lot filled with all the amazing cars you come to expect on a Saturday. Heads up to those of you who are coming as spectators: there are events going on in downtown Redmond on Saturday, and public parking could get a little tight in the parking garage…Don’t be surprised if you have a parking spot stalker following you when you leave the show...lol.

See y’all this Saturday!

~Chuck
