Can you believe #4?

Yup, four weeks in a row without rain in May! We’re on again. I think that’s a new record for us. We usually only have about twenty to twenty-two events each season and already, even starting late, we’re off to a great start with more events than usual this season. We’re happy with this beginning. Sort of like your first month of marriage. Sure looked fun, didn’t it? Did you ever think it would come down to lawyers and chainsaws?

The entrance is the same as always. The lines will move much faster because the logistics are not as complicated as theme days and we’ll have enough of the new radios to cover everything. Just the radios alone all on the same channel will make a big difference. Our laughter and pointing will finally be in sync along with our yelling.

We’re back in the corner again of RTC, but we’re still going to be very full. We’re still getting a surprising number of people who write us about qualifications and so we’re expecting another great turnout. We have all the qualification details on our criteria page, and we do update it regularly. Write us if you have questions. We answer all email in good cheer.

We are considering a truck day, but we’d have to nail down the specifications around that event. We need to give it more thought and we’d love get some comments from you, so just write us about your ideas. Lots of stuff to consider. Roids are just one. Threatening to crush the world is another. We do need to give it more thought and save the bushes.

I can’t help it. I have visions of one of these guys in court.

Defendant: “Your honor, all I did was ask her on a date.”

Judge: “Dude, she was on a tricycle with streamers…”

Sorry, that will bring the hate mail.

We are going to do a Zoom call about how to create a successful car event. It will likely be on a Thursday evening in a few weeks so more people can attend. We’ll cover how to create something that doesn’t lead to you getting yelled at by everyone including your raging partner.

Just write us on this site if you’d like to get the Zoom link for the call. It’s less about E@RTC and more about what we think makes for a good event, and one that lasts longer than an awkward Tinder moment. We’re happy to talk about our own criteria, but that’s not what the call is about. It’s focused on those steps to make it all work nicely.

Don’t forget the Archer Hotel now has breakfast going. We’d love to see others do the same thing. It does give you a way to park and eat rather than diving into that long line at Starbucks.

We’ve bee sent some very cool pictures of cars that are coming out this season, so don’t think you’ve seen it all because you haven’t. We have some extraordinary cars in the Northwest and more are coming from further away because of the reputation of the show, thanks to all of you for helping us preserve.

I just read this little gem.

Someone legitimately asked the question on Quora, the Q&A site, why Taco Bell doesn’t taste as good as it did in college. Someone responded back, it’s because you’re sober.

See you Saturday!
