British Car Day is Here!
It’s time for our annual British Car Day! We have a lot of really amazing cars show up under the British car banner. This is more fun than that time you woke up wearing your dog’s collar and were happy about it.
British Car Day is a real favorite for the volunteers because of the variety of cars that make it out, and the huge number of classic and collectables that fit in that category, not to mention British exotics. The people are always nice too. It’s also the one day it’s appropriate to call anyone a wanker.
If you own another foreign brand, you’re still welcome, so don’t think you can’t come unless your car is British. You can, and we will make room for you as always. It’s just a theme when we fill the center of the mall and the side street with British cars.
This is the last of our theme days for the season, and this is the first time we’ve ever had all of our theme days without any reschedules because of weather. I also think this is the season where we’ve had the longest runs without rain or other disruptions. It’s been a great season all around.
Masks
Once again, there is a mask mandate for groups of 500 or more. It’s not like we can count either. So, you may need to mask up given we have no way of knowing how many show up and over what area within the mall, and we have no idea if COVID is attracted to British Cars or not. So much to say… I’d just plan to mask up.
As you all know, our season ends in a few weeks. We probably have only two or three E@RTC remaining before we call an end to our year. It’s been a good run, and we’ve had a lot of fun.
We’d like to get the yearbook completed, so we’re going to work on that too. It’s fallen behind because of a lack of volunteers to get it done, but it’s still in the works.
