We Have a Button!

You're not going to believe what we just did! This was more complicated than Madonna's plastic surgery! We now have a way to push the blog to you every Thursday when it comes out. It's just an email every Thursday with the blog and if we're on or off. It's the same blog and nothing more except it hunts you down and taps you on the shoulder and says hello. I wouldn’t call it a warm hug, but it’s a nice to get. All you have to do is sign up! It's free! Anyone can do it, even if you live anywhere in the world, even if you live in Middlefart Denmark, Toadsuck, Arkansas, Twatt, Scotland or Fresno!

You can even sign up all your friends and people you don't actually like! Just mosey on over to the Contact page and sign up. You don't even have to donate an organ to make it all happen. It's taken a lot to get something like this done, but we did it. Come to think of it, I think Madonna's plastic surgeon said the same thing.

We're getting close to opening day, and just a reminder, when we call it rained out, we just push it to the next week. I won't be able to make that weekend, but if we have two rain-outs in a row, I'll be there. It often happens that we don't get to start until May. It just means we have a much bigger opening day. As we said before, if the weather is slightly marginal, we will delay the event. We're looking for a glorious opening day!

We're also using Claude to help us create a criteria formula. We've run it through a few scenarios and so far, goose eggs. There are so many subjective elements that go into our criteria and so it's not a simple formula. We'll keep picking at it, but we're not going to go live with it unless it works for 99% of our cars. So far it's worse than we were expecting. Sort of like that eHarmony date that smelled like fish.

We had a great year of you coming to us with your qualification questions for those cars that were difficult to qualify. We had just a handful of hard nos. All of the others got in, some for just event days and others as regulars. We will always give every car a fair shake. The best thing to do is first check our criteria page, then write us. We then send it around a few of us for consideration. It's that fine line between a great show, one worth driving a long way to see and just an upgraded Safeway parking lot. We’ll keep watching the weather for next week.
