You know we’re done, right?

We’re rained out until April 2, 2022. Someone will still show up if it’s not raining. I’d love to set up a web cam just to watch them roll in. It’s always with that same expression as if they lost a dog. There has to be an exotic and rare car somewhere around here.

We still have a lot to do during our off season. It’s not like we get much of a break ourselves. We take a little time off, then we start organizing and getting ready for next season. It means making sure we have enough of what we need, including people to get us through the 2022 season. We have lots of admin stuff to get done, and so the process continues, year after year, so we can put on the best show possible. We go through a lot of headsets for some reason. I can’t imagine what someone is doing with all those. It’s weird. We must have a volunteer who chews them like pencils.

As we say over and over. None of it happens without your support, so thank you for your part! We also deeply appreciate you all helping us keep the event safe each and every season. You help restore the good name of exotic and rare car owners.

Meanwhile, I’m still off touring the countryside and I never know where I’m going to be next. I was actually in Waldo a week ago. I know, where’s Waldo? Wisconsin!

I can’t begin to scratch the surface and explain how cool this country of ours really is. Leave all your stereotypes at home. Except for the ones about Fresno. If the US was a bakery, Fresno would be the three-day-old donut.

It’s especially cool if you get off the freeways and hit the small towns. You will come across car enthusiasts just about everywhere and they always want to talk cars. It’s not as boring as you think and it seems like every turn, there is a surprise somewhere. I’m kind of sorry I waited this long to really explore it. Don’t wait until you so old it hurts to pee. Get out there and explore, and don’t over-plan. Know which direction you generally want to go, and leave it at that.

Meanwhile, I’ll keep writing all winter to get us through to next season, just as I did all through COVID. I’ll even post a few pictures. Thanks again for being a part of E@RTC!
