We’re On for British…
…Car Day! Yes, you read that right. As we said on Monday, it's going to be a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest and possibly one of the last 80-degree days of the year, unless you're inside a house with the heat cranked. This is going to be a very special British Car Day with a wonderful collection of vintage British race cars, including the historically famous E.R.A. “Romulus.” If you're into automotive racing history, you won't want to miss this without a good excuse. These cars are rarely seen in public, so here is a chance to see some automotive history up close.
We are granting special permission if you want to sing show tunes from “The King and I.” You have to read the story to get that joke.
If you want to know if your car meets the criteria to join us, mosey on over to our criteria page and see if we have your car listed. If not, write to us and we'll get an answer back to you faster than your bank approving that fat car loan of yours. We're faster than the drive-up window at Taco Bell, and we're faster than the line to their bathroom afterward.
As usual, all cars from other nationalities that meet our criteria are welcome; however, we highlight those made by people who are into tea, crumpets, and, above all, good manners, and give them center court and side street. We expect that we will have a very good turnout, so come join in the fun while you can. It won't be long before you're stuck at home looking out the window at rain while dreaming of E@RTC and somewhere warm and dry.
We don't know when our season will end, and we're not likely to announce a date for our last Saturday to help prevent bad behavior on the last day. We still have a few weeks left in our season.
As always, please do not exit onto Bear Creek as you leave E@RTC; head into Redmond instead, where there are people who would love to see you go by if you're not too loud. See you Saturday!
