We’re On!

This is stupendous! We have another nice Saturday ahead as we’re now in the final weeks of E@RTC.

For those of you in Fresno, it means we have a few more weeks to go. No, we don’t know how many. It depends on Mom Nature and her antics.

We had an LFA come out last week. Some of you who have been with us a long time, may remember that we were a very early supporter and showed the car two years in a row before the LFA became available to the public. The point is, you never know what’s going to show up at E@RTC, so don’t sit there with nothing to do but read the box of Corn Flakes, come out and be surprised. Not as surprised as that pregnancy pee stick, but still surprised.

After Saturday, we have one or two Saturdays remaining, so come out! I know I say it every week, but it’s like when they said to quit smoking, they had good intentions. You quit and life got better. For some anyway. Some of you are still cranky about it, but you will live longer. I didn’t say happy, just longer.

We think you will have fun! We do! What are you going to do, stay home and rake? Hand the neighbor kid the rake and come out. You can mulch on Sunday.

So, once this is all over for the season, there are still other car events in the Pacific Northwest so stay involved as it helps build an even better car community. There is always America’s Car Museum and they have a calendar, so does Avants. Others as well. Just poke around, but stay active. Shop at Redmond Town Center!!! Drive somewhere!

I can’t encourage you enough to drive the North Cascade Highway if it’s not on fire. That pass closes in about a month, so go! It’s the perfect drive on a Sunday. Do the whole loop and it’s a full day. As I said last year, if you’ve done it a bunch of times, go in the reverse direction. It looks completely different. It’s like putting your partner is assless chaps! It will be cool all over again.

This Saturday, OpenRoad Northwest, the dealer that sells Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, McLaren and Bentley is having an open house at their new location. Which is in the old Bellevue BMW building on auto row. You’ve probably seen them working on it for a long time. It starts at 11, so after E@RTC, head on over to see what they have going on. Maybe pick out something new while you’re there. Splurge! Get two!

After we wrap up our season, I’ll keep writing the blog. I also write in other places about boring stuff. It’s not funny.
