We’re Just Nine Days…
Don’t they look pumped?
…from opening rain-out. At least that's how it's looking right now, but it could still all change into a glorious day, so we're still hoping Mom Nature decides to favor us. As of today, it's looking squirrelly. We need that perfect Saturday to kick things off, and that momentum carries us all season like a fat guy running downhill.
We're still having an occasional problem with those who try to leave early. Unless we know in advance and parked you accordingly, no-can-do, for safety reasons. This is for everyone's safety and not just your reputation. No moving cones either. Nothing screams dickapatamous more than those who want to showboat their way out, so plan to be there up until 11, then exit with everyone else, and we end up keeping everyone happy. It's not a lot to ask. It's not like we asked you to make us all some homemade sausage or anything.
For those who are new and don't know where to begin, first, start with the criteria page on our site. Assuming your car fits, then read last week's blog about our entrance. Also, read the rules and FAQs. This will be like adding sprinkles to your overall enjoyment and we take the stress away like that joy juice they give you before your colonoscopy. You won’t even remember where they shoved the Hubble in your sleep.
Once you show up, we get you situated, and our Thugs are also the show's ambassadors, so they will be more than happy to introduce you to people or point you in the direction of the can. We're all there to have a good time, so we do our best to keep it light and festive, like it's a favorite holiday you've been waiting for all year and even bought that special outfit to show off to everyone.
The other request we have is that you move your car into a normal parking stall at 11 AM if you plan to stick around and have lunch. Don't just leave it. The mall gets busy after the show, so if you're worried about where to park, the horseshoe is a good spot.
Also, if you're in one of the aisles, it's super-important that you be back at your car just before 11 so everyone can get out. We'll even help you get landed again if you plan to stick around for BJ's. Wait, that didn't come out right. If you plan to eat at BJ's. Calm down, Mom. Of all the names a restaurant could have, they thought that was the best idea. I know. It's become a popular spot post-show. The Archer is also very good. It's where I like to stay.
A little shout-out to Midnight Cookie Company. The owner is an E@RTC fan, and we love that, so while you're at Redmond Town Center…come on, cookies!!! You know you need one. I never met anyone who didn’t like cookies. Ever. Ever-ever.
We will post if we're on or off next Thursday right here and on Facebook. It's going to be a great season, and our volunteers are all excited to get started.
