Bad Cadillacs and Electric F150s
Well, we’re on for another great Saturday October 8! Get here while you can! It won’t be long before you’re constantly soggy and you can only dream of the days when you attended E@RTC, so come out. You can tweeze when you get home. Rake later.
Window Lickers
First, a little business to attend to. We had a red Cadillac with dealer plates go flying out of E@RTC on departure. We have the dealer plate # and video. It’s not welcome back, ever. Or that dealer. We’ve even notified the V-Club but he’s not a member of the Cadillac V Club which has been a great club. If you know the owner say something. If you’re the dealer, shame on you for letting that person work for you.
Same with a white Porsche. We know who you are and we will turn you away at the gate. Womp-womp!
Please note any other WLs who want to ruin our event and share what you saw with us. Better yet, send us pictures and video.
I don’t think these self-absorbed narcissists lacking in self control while demonstrating even less maturity, understand how much they risk not only our event but others in the Pacific Northwest. Something goes wrong, and you will be the poster child for car events everywhere. Doesn’t matter if it’s on the streets.
There once was a Corvette crash in Bellevue and someone tried to blame us in the press!!!! Turns out it was a sales demo gone wrong at the dealership. I wonder if they bought that car?
Okay, enough of that. We were having such a good season too.
F150 Lightning
Some activities don’t go together. Easter egg hunts and lawn darts, a hockey game and snow blowing, golf and skeet shooting. Taco Bell and flying. Ballet and accordion. Even Gary Larson once drew a cartoon; harps were handed out to everyone in heaven, accordions in hell.
Anyhow, another thing that probably doesn’t go together is pickups and E@RTC, unless it’s a classic. We’ve thought about it a long time and if there was a way we could do a pickup day, and we’ve never come up with a criteria.
We got a call about the F150 Lighting, the electrified 150, and for those of you who are clueless, from Fresno, or just not out much, the F150 Lightning is one of the hottest trucks on the market today and they are still very rare.
No big deal you say?
Well, F150s are the most popular pickup made and the most popular vehicle overall in the US. They sold a whopping 726,004 in 2021 alone! The F150 held the position as the top seller for 45 years! However they can’t produce a lot of Lightnings just yet. They hope to produce 15,000 this year, but the numbers may be a lot lower because of supply issues.
The F150 Lightning has over 200,000 on backorder so it’s rare! If you just got married it will show up in time for your divorce.
Because of all this, we’ve had some debate about should we have one at E@RTC or not? Among our Thugs, opinions were mixed, but we decided to go ahead and show one on Saturday.
We always want to show off first runs, and what we think may be interesting to have in just once. So on that basis, come out and see the new F150 Lightning and see what the fuss is all about.
