Retro Day is Upon Us!

This Saturday, August 2, is our Second First Annual Retro Day! It’s going to be outrageous and more exciting than accidentally floating a blind mullet in the in-laws’ pool!

The event runs from 9 to 11 AM, same as usual. All E@RTC cars are still welcome, but we’re showcasing the retro cars and giving them the nod in center mall.

Speaking of mullets, this is your chance to break out that 80s–90s garb you’ve been saving all these decades. I’m sure you’ve got those Vuarnet sunglasses stashed somewhere. You must own some flaming neon something. No? If you’re not sure how to dress, think Fresno—only classier. Shout out to the guy who brought the old VHS camcorder with a GoPro mounted on it. That was brilliant. Remember lawn darts? That’s how nature thinned the neighborhood.

As with all our theme days, we’ll be using the mall’s center court to feature the best retro specimens—including slant noses, pop-up headlights, and other icons of the era. This is your chance to show off that glorious retro machine you’ve been hiding away. Ugly doesn’t always have to stay inside.

We tried this event for the first time last year and it was such a hit that we’re doing it again—and again. Because it’s retro, we’ve decided to always call it the “First Annual.” Every year.

Cars still need to meet our show criteria as found on our criteria page, unless they scream retro—in which case, send us pictures. Dust off that Ferrari 308, 328, or F40. It’s time to lean hard into some early 90s fun.
