It’s Still Looking Good for…

…British Car Day and the Washington State–made SSC Tuatara Stryker, which will also be at the show in the center of the mall in case you missed the last post. For SSC, it was the only day that would work all season, and we’re excited to have the car on display.

As always, the show runs from 9–11, but if you’re showing a car, all brands that normally qualify are welcome. We get some cars from other countries whose owners don’t think they can get in, but they can.

As for SSC, they were one of the first manufacturers to ever attend E@RTC back in 2009 when we began. They brought their world-record-holding Ultimate Aero, and it was a huge hit. Since then, we’ve supported them and even did a co-event at the Museum of Flight with the Tuatara model and the car’s designer, so it’s exciting to host the finished product. Creating any new car company is extremely difficult and very costly, so come see this beauty along with the other amazing British cars on that day.

We know the peanut gallery will complain that we had an American car in center court on British Car Day, but sometimes we have to make do with the dates we have, so cut us some slack. We’re doing all this for all of you.

As we did last week, we’d still love your feedback about E@RTC, and we deeply appreciate your candor about how we’re doing—even if you just want to make fun of us. We can take it. Some of us probably deserve a verbal wedgie.

We want to keep improving the show, so anything you have to say on the matter helps us a lot. We want to hear what makes you want to come to the show—or not—if you’re not attending as often.

We plan to do a more in-depth survey sometime after the season ends, and we’ll keep surveying until we get a large enough sample where we think we have a good read on things. We’re trying to avoid any confirmation bias, and we get a lot of that.

British Car Day is one of our biggest events all season, and it brings out some of the most polite people you will ever meet, which always makes it fun. Traditionally, they make it easy on us, but there is always that one person who we have to show the exit and send off to Lot 9 in Moclips. Hint: you don’t want to be sent to Lot 9, ever. It’s the rough equivalent of a good toilet flush.
