It’s going to be Classic and Collector Day!
…This coming Saturday, June 22nd! It’s our second special day of the season, and you all know what that means, right? It means that classic and collector cars get to fill the center of the mall and along 164th. All other cars that are normally qualified for E@RTC can still get in as usual. It’s also expected to be a very nice 80-degree day, so you’ll see some tops off. On the cars. This is more exciting than a Nickelback refund line!
This is when you see some well-maintained old classics, sort of like going to a Strolling Bones concert, except with cars. We love this particular day because we know what went into keeping these cars in such top condition and why so many of them are so coveted. It’s rare that you get to see some of these cars roll in on their own wheels, so come early and watch them arrive and depart.
Because of our weather cancellation this past Saturday, this is the first time we’ve ever had two special events back-to-back. Normally, we’d have had a few weeks in our regular lots, but not this time. We’ll still put up another post on Thursday at our usual time in case some weird weather phenomenon decides to show up on Saturday, but we doubt it. We just wanted to give you an early heads-up about Saturday.
Also, the same entrance maps still apply. If you’re bringing something that’s prone to overheating, please get there early and let us know. We’re not talking about the person sitting next to you, just to be clear. Some of these cars can’t sit idle for long, so let us know, and we’ll get you off to the side. Chat again on Thursday!
