We’re On for Classic…
...And Collector Car Day! This is more exciting than Norway’s Fat Guy Luge Day! This Saturday, you will see some of the finest examples of classic and collector cars found anywhere. This day has become a big deal in the car community, and for good reason. These cars aren't just old, well-maintained machines; they all have great stories behind them, which is partly why they are so well-preserved and cared for in the first place. Also, given their age, think of the time it takes to maintain these cars and keep them looking pristine.
We will also have a car coming up from America's Car Museum in Tacoma to also show some support. They had a rough go of it through COVID and all the shutdowns, and they sure could use your support in return. So, become a member, and talk to them about how you can best help this great organization.
While you're out at E@RTC, ask some of the owners of these fine machines to tell you something about the cars you see and the history behind their preservation. Don't just stroll on by like you would a Honda Type R or the Uber you just took from the airport. Some of these cars are famous, so ask, and you could be amazed and delighted that you got to see these cars.
All exotic and rare cars that meet our usual criteria are still welcome. The big difference is what we park where. We give the center section and 164th to the Classic and Collector category, but we still have lots of room in our main lots.
This is the day we always get some incredible surprises and cars we were not expecting. It happens every year, and it's a lot of fun to see what shows up. The other thing is that the weather will be perfect for some of these old cars that have cooling issues, so this should be a fantastic day for everyone.
If you're bringing something that could overheat, other than the person next to you, let us know, and we'll get you situated ahead so it's not a problem. We can't fix what's sitting next to you. Nobody can. Ask how we know. No, don't. You're on your own there.
