It’s Another Invisible Show This Saturday!
This Saturday, August 19, is our second invisible car show of the season, from 9 to 11, as usual. Once again, this is a show you and your whole family will want to miss, and it's fantastic for nobody to attend. This means none of your friends either unless you're into not seeing exotic and rare cars. This is a very special day somewhere else. This will be less enjoyable than that tick you once dated and just as special.
Where will you find all the cool cars? Well, many will be down in Monterey, having the time of their life while you're standing around looking at an empty parking lot, so don't come out and be disappointed by what you won't see. This is the kind of show that you will not talk about with anyone and may even feel a tinge of embarrassment just for showing up, knowing full well we've been taking this Saturday off since we started E@RTC.
You still have time to grab your third cousin and a ham sandwich, pile stuff in your car with a few friends, and still make it to the car parade at Carmel-By-the-Sea. I wonder if they thought of naming it, “Carmel, you-know, the-one-on-the-water.” Or, “Carmel, The-one-that's-actually-nice,” or “Carmel-the-one-with-all-the-hippies.”
Sunday is the big show at Pebble Beach, where everyone dresses up and has a great time looking at each other and the old cars that show up. It makes for a wonderful week, so go there if you can. Then you will have some good memories and forget all about that nasty poodle that your mother-in-law has that poops in the house. See you all on August 26 when we resume our regular season.
Don't forget, British Car Day comes up in September! That's one you will want to see.
